Summer tires Nankang FT-7 A / T size 225/75 R16 manufacturer directs for SUV utility vehicles, smaller CrossOver type and off-road versions All Terrain and Mud Terrain. These tyres are produced in larger sizes than passenger tyres. Their task is different for larger and heavier cars. The first part of size 225 indicates the width in millimeters. The second part 75 talks about the profile of the tire and this is the percentage height from a width of 225 mm. Another symbol is the letter "R" indicating the radial construction of the internal structure of the tyre. At the end there is information about the wheel diameter 16 expressed in inches. Behind the size of the tires, the manufacturer places the load and speed index.

Summer tyres are dedicated to driving in positive temperatures exceeding 7about C. Summer tyres have a small number of cuts that emit low noise levels while maintaining a high level of safety even at high speeds and rainfall. Summer tyres have the highest traction values until the tread level is reached at a ceiling of 4mm.

4x4 tyres are divided into summer and winter. 4x4 summer tires can be divided into tires dedicated to the road, All Terrain, i.e. half to the road as well as off-road and tires directed mainly at the Mud Terrain type. Off-road winter tires occur without any other division and all are dedicated to road roads. Tires designed for terrain have a reinforced structure and payload to ensure trouble-free operation in difficult conditions. Tyres of this type are only suitable for off-road cars and SUVs due to their stiffness and much higher noise level.

  1. A is the highest performance tyre
  2. G is currently the least performing

WET GRIP

Provides you with information on the tyre's grip on wet roads. Tyres with excellent  grip in the wet have shorter braking distances on wet roads

  1. A indicates the highest wet grip performance
  2. G indicates the lowest wet grip performance

NOISE LEVELS

  1. The tyre's exterior noise grading is expressed in decibels
  2. One black wave indicates the best noise level at least 3dB below the future legal limit
  3. Three black waves indicate the weakest performance

New legal noise limits will be introduced between 2012 and 2016
